Egg-celent

Easter is just around the corner, a little sooner than usual- making March a very busy month. We have covered Dr. Seuss Day, National Pig Day already.... and still have the 1st day of spring, st. patricks day, and easter!

I am setting eggs in my classroom after Easter this year- Julie Reno, Shanon Reuter, Lynn Brown, and Krisit Moore- are going to do it at that time as well- I think Judy Ryster and Natalie Mitchell have already set theirs- If anyone else is interested please let me know- I am going to purchase a few Fancy Chicken eggs to set with a few reg. old chicken eggs- Diversity! hahahaha
Anywho...
Here is what I have-

From Seed to Plant

We started our plant unit this week...
Today we planted our seeds & we will be keeping a daily journal recording and charting the growoth of the plants. We planted hollyhocks, cacti, and bachlor buttons- Hopefully they will grow! We read the Gail Gibbons book From Seed to Plant and then discussed what things a seed needs to grow... I am planning bulletin board idea that grow from week to week. It will start as a seed... Then grow a sprout.... and so on until it blooms....

Let The Snow Go!!!

We want spring... But we still have winter! I took my kids outside with black construction paper to catch snowflakes. They were amazed that you could see the differences in each flake.
